Synergies and co-benefits with other LIFE sub-programmes on Nature and Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Quality of Life, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, will mainly result in the updated skills as a result of the capacity building events.
In view of the energy renovation of the existing building stock, a human-centred approach has to be taken also into account in the broader aspect of a sustainable and inclusive built environment. The LIFE sub-programme ‘Climate Change’ has a number of areas which may present opportunities for synergies. In particular the ambition to address solutions to climate-proof and enhance the resilience of infrastructure and buildings, including by using blue-green infrastructure and through cooperation with standardisation organisations.

In LIFE sub-programme ‘Circular Economy and Quality of Life’, circular economy, including recovery of resources from waste, to accelerate the transition towards a circular, climate-neutral sustainable and toxic-free environment is of relevance.
In synergy with the Circular Economy and Quality of Life sub-programme, the project will engage with public authorities, especially municipalities, to create stable dialogue and network and favour public-private partnership. Synergies with the LIFE sub-programmes will also be explored and found as part of alignment with ongoing and new projects at EU-level.
